1. What To Do If Demo Content Import Fails

If the import stalls and fails to respond after a few minutes, or it fails with a simple error message like “Import failed,” You are suffering from PHP configuration limits that are set too low to complete the process. You should contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:

You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin found here. And you can also check your PHP error logs to see the exact error being returned.

2. Adding Galleries, Albums & Collections as Menu items

Please go to Appearance > Menus > Screen Options and enable them:

3. Enabling WP_Debug In WordPress

WP_Debug is a constant that when enabled will display any PHP errors on the front-end of your site, this is the most useful tool when troubleshooting your site for errors. If disabled and your site has an error you may see a blank screen or content missing on the site but no error message, that makes it nearly impossible to figure out the problem. Personally I keep WP_Debug enabled on all my sites so if I install a new plugin or update a theme I’ll know right away if there are any errors and be able to contact the developer to fix them or fix them myself.

Below are the steps required to enable WP_Debug for your WordPress installation.

  1. Access your website’s root folder via FTP or SFTP
  2. Locate the wp-config.php file
  3. Open this file in a text editor (I prefer sublime text)
  4. Search for “WP_Debug” and if you find it set the value to true if currently set to false
  5. If you didn’t locate “WP_Debug” scroll down near the bottom of the file and add the following code right before the line that says “# That’s It. Pencils down”
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

4. How can I change the Favicon?

You can set it inside Appearance > Customize > Site Identity

5. Refund Policy

While Fuel Themes are 100% confident in the design quality and functionality of all our WordPress themes, we understand that sometimes things just don’t work out.

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our refund policy. It could save us both a lot of time in the unlikely eventuality that you are not satisfied with your purchase.

No refunds at all can be granted after 30 days of the original purchase.

By issuing a refund, you will no longer be entitled to contact support or use the product (the license code will become invalid and updates will not work).

6. Adding Translation Files To Your Child Theme

If you worked hard to translate the theme you probably don’t want to keep the translated .po and .mo files in the parent theme because they will be overwritten when you update the theme. The best solution would be to place them in your child theme which is very easy to do and is also explained right in the WordPress CODEX.

So basically you just have to add your languages into your child theme and then use (add to your child theme’s functions.php) the following function to load it from the child theme instead of the parent:

// Load translation files from your child theme instead of the parent theme
function my_child_theme_locale_1183() {
    load_child_theme_textdomain( 'werkstatt', get_stylesheet_directory() . '/inc/languages' );
}
add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'my_child_theme_locale_1183' );

* Please replace "werkstatt" with your own theme slug as it will different between different themes.

7. How can I change the Preloader Logo?

The preloader logo can be changed from Appearance > Theme Options > Misc > Preloader.

8. I can not find Galleries, Albums, Collections ?

You need to install the necessary plugin from Appearance > Install Plugins, which would activate the WordPress menu elements for these sections.

9. I want to remove the Shop / Cart icon.

The cart icon is added when the WooCommerce plugin is active. Simply disable the WooCommerce plugin from your Plugins page.

10. How to Disable Right Click

To protect your content and disable saving images from your site, we suggest using the below plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-content-copy-protector/

11. Where can I change the logo?

You can change the logo from Appearance > Theme Options.

12. Child theme does not show Google Fonts

To overcome this issue, please install https://wordpress.org/plugins/transients-manager/ and delete your transients once :)

13. The link you followed has expired.

This is a common server/hosting issue. You need to ask your hosting to increase your PHP max_upload_size variable, preferably above 25mbs.

Here is a sample code you can pass onto your hosting:

upload_max_filesize = 64M
post_max_size = 64M
max_execution_time = 300

14. "Undefined" Error using Demo Content Import

If you are getting an "undefined" error on your Theme Options when you are trying to import demo content, this is due to your WordPress installation not having direct "write file" permissions.

There is only one short line of code needed to set the filesystem method for your WordPress site.

This line of code has to be added to wp-config.php file of your WordPress install. First search the wp-config.php file for “FS_METHOD” in case that it’s already defined. If that’s the case, then just change the value to “direct”. Otherwise add this line:

define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');

So the code in wp-config.php will look like this:

define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

15. Contact Form Styling

You can use the below html code to have the same styling as the demo. You can insert it inside Contact Form 7 settings:

<p>[text* your-name placeholder:"YOUR NAME"] </p>
<p>[email* your-email placeholder:"YOUR EMAIL"] </p>
<p>[textarea your-message x5 placeholder:"YOUR MESSAGE"] </p>
<p>[submit class:btn "Send"]</p>
