23. What To Do If Demo Content Import Fails

1. Enabling WP_Debug In WordPress

WP_Debug is a constant that when enabled will display any PHP errors on the front-end of your site, this is the most useful tool when troubleshooting your site for errors. If disabled and your site has an error you may see a blank screen or content missing on the site but no error message, that makes it nearly impossible to figure out the problem. Personally I keep WP_Debug enabled on all my sites so if I install a new plugin or update a theme I’ll know right away if there are any errors and be able to contact the developer to fix them or fix them myself.

Below are the steps required to enable WP_Debug for your WordPress installation.

  1. Access your website’s root folder via FTP or SFTP
  2. Locate the wp-config.php file
  3. Open this file in a text editor (I prefer sublime text)
  4. Search for “WP_Debug” and if you find it set the value to true if currently set to false
  5. If you didn’t locate “WP_Debug” scroll down near the bottom of the file and add the following code right before the line that says “# That’s It. Pencils down”
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

2. What do I need to purchase to activate Language and Price Switchers?

You can purchase WPML from: https://wpml.org

After that, you can download WooCommerce Multilingual from: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/

3. How can I translate Product Filter plugin?

You can find the documentation and the necessary PO files inside: http://cl.ly/2l3e3c3L0U2k

4. I can't find the bundled Premium Plugins!

You can install the bundled plugins for your theme from Appearance -> Install plugins

5. Child theme does not show Google Fonts

To overcome this issue, please install https://wordpress.org/plugins/transients-manager/ and delete your transients once :)

6. Translating WooCommerce phrases/texts

You 'll need to transate the phrases on 'woocommerce' domain. For that, you can use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/codestyling-localization/

7. How can I change the Favicon?

You can set it inside Appearance > Customize > Site Identity

8. Theme Documentation List & Download

UberStore: https://s3.amazonaws.com/fuelthemes-documentation/uberstore-documentation.zip

9. Adding Translation Files To Your Child Theme

If you worked hard to translate the theme you probably don’t want to keep the translated .po and .mo files in the parent theme because they will be overwritten when you update the theme. The best solution would be to place them in your child theme which is very easy to do and is also explained right in the WordPress CODEX.

So basically you just have to add your languages into your child theme and then use (add to your child theme’s functions.php) the following function to load it from the child theme instead of the parent:

// Load translation files from your child theme instead of the parent theme
function my_child_theme_locale_1183() {
    load_child_theme_textdomain( 'werkstatt', get_stylesheet_directory() . '/inc/languages' );
}
add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'my_child_theme_locale_1183' );

* Please replace "werkstatt" with your own theme slug as it will different between different themes.

10. Icons are not working on Firefox

This issue is caused by your font headers not properly set by your hosting. Here are some  pages to forward to your hosting:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5008944/how-to-...

11. Boxed Product Images are not working/visible

The boxed product images feature requires image sizes of at least 1000x690.

This can be changed from north-wp/woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php

12. I can't install theme - Stylesheet is missing

You need to first extract file you've downloaded from ThemeForest, theme is inside of this zip file along with documentation, license, psds and other files. You need to upload only theme folder to your WordPress.

This might be helpfull:

13. Boxed Images are not working on Product Pages

The boxed images feature require image sizes of at least 1000 x 690 pixels. This value can be changed from north-wp/woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php

14. Refund Policy

While Fuel Themes are 100% confident in the design quality and functionality of all our WordPress themes, we understand that sometimes things just don’t work out.

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our refund policy. It could save us both a lot of time in the unlikely eventuality that you are not satisfied with your purchase.

No refunds at all can be granted after 30 days of the original purchase.

By issuing a refund, you will no longer be entitled to contact support or use the product (the license code will become invalid and updates will not work).

15. Where can I change the logo?

You can change the logo from Appearance > Theme Options.

16. Revolution Slider — How to import the demo sliders?

Where can I find the importable slider files?

The importable slider files are part of the main theme package you're downloading from ThemeForest. Inside the zip file Slider Exports.zip, you'll find an importable .zip file for each slider.

The Revolution Slider allows you to easily export/import your slides. It’s always a good idea to backup your slides so you can easily import them again if you ever need to. Making animated slides takes a lot of time, make sure you export the data so you don’t ever lose the time you’ve spent on them. The Revolution Slider requires you to export each slider individually. Export each slide you have made and it will give you an individual zip file that contains all the necessary files.

New to Revolution Slider?

Read more in the plugin's documentation:

17. How to enable the front end editor for VC?

Please open themename/inc/visualcomposer.php and delete:

vc_disable_frontend();

18. Prices & Add To Cart button is missing from my product pages.

Make sure that you disable "Catalog Mode" from Appearance -> Theme Options -> Shop Settings.

19. "Undefined" Error using Demo Content Import

If you are getting an "undefined" error on your Theme Options when you are trying to import demo content, this is due to your WordPress installation not having direct "write file" permissions.

There is only one short line of code needed to set the filesystem method for your WordPress site.

This line of code has to be added to wp-config.php file of your WordPress install. First search the wp-config.php file for “FS_METHOD” in case that it’s already defined. If that’s the case, then just change the value to “direct”. Otherwise add this line:

define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');

So the code in wp-config.php will look like this:

define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

20. Where can i find all the emails address subscribed at my site?

You can find the email list inside themefolder/inc/subscribers.csv

21. The link you followed has expired.

This is a common server/hosting issue. You need to ask your hosting to increase your PHP max_upload_size variable, preferably above 25mbs.

Here is a sample code you can pass onto your hosting:

upload_max_filesize = 64M
post_max_size = 64M
max_execution_time = 300

22. Bundled Plugin Updates & Activation

To get auto updates, or if you want to update the plugins yourself, you 'll need to purchase your own license from Codecanyon.net

You can also get plugin updates each time the theme is updated, but for that you'll need to wait for the next update.

Also, you do not need to activate the plugin to use them. You can purchase your own licence to activate them to receive automatic updates.

23. What To Do If Demo Content Import Fails

If the import stalls and fails to respond after a few minutes, or it fails with a simple error message like “Import failed,” You are suffering from PHP configuration limits that are set too low to complete the process. You should contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:

You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin found here. And you can also check your PHP error logs to see the exact error being returned.
