18. Change Widget Title Background

1. Adsense codes do not work in Advertisement textareas

Adsense codes do not work directly in post editors. For that you'll need to use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-plugin-for-simple-google-adsense-insertion/

More plugins compared here:

2. Adding Translation Files To Your Child Theme

If you worked hard to translate the theme you probably don’t want to keep the translated .po and .mo files in the parent theme because they will be overwritten when you update the theme. The best solution would be to place them in your child theme which is very easy to do and is also explained right in the WordPress CODEX.

So basically you just have to add your languages into your child theme and then use (add to your child theme’s functions.php) the following function to load it from the child theme instead of the parent:

// Load translation files from your child theme instead of the parent theme
function my_child_theme_locale_1183() {
    load_child_theme_textdomain( 'werkstatt', get_stylesheet_directory() . '/inc/languages' );
}
add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'my_child_theme_locale_1183' );

* Please replace "werkstatt" with your own theme slug as it will different between different themes.

3. Run JavaScript after post load in Infinite Article

The javascript event being used is "thb_after_infinite_load".

The example code below alerts a text when a post is loaded.

<script>
    jQuery(document.body).on('thb_after_infinite_load', function() {
            alert('Post Loaded');
    });
</script>

4. Refund Policy

While Fuel Themes are 100% confident in the design quality and functionality of all our WordPress themes, we understand that sometimes things just don’t work out.

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our refund policy. It could save us both a lot of time in the unlikely eventuality that you are not satisfied with your purchase.

No refunds at all can be granted after 30 days of the original purchase.

By issuing a refund, you will no longer be entitled to contact support or use the product (the license code will become invalid and updates will not work).

5. Bundled Plugin Updates & Activation

To get auto updates, or if you want to update the plugins yourself, you 'll need to purchase your own license from Codecanyon.net

You can also get plugin updates each time the theme is updated, but for that you'll need to wait for the next update.

Also, you do not need to activate the plugin to use them. You can purchase your own licence to activate them to receive automatic updates.

6. Child theme does not show Google Fonts

To overcome this issue, please install https://wordpress.org/plugins/transients-manager/ and delete your transients once :)

8. How to add Italic and Bold Post Titles

It's pretty straightforward, you just need to add em tag for italic text, and strong tag for bold text. Here is an example:

<strong>Elevate</strong> Your Listening With These <em>Top-Notch</em> Sound Systems

9. Hide Mobile Menu icon on desktop screens

Please open inc/header/style1.php and style2.php and find:

<a href="#" class="mobile-toggle">
                            <div>
                                <span></span><span></span><span></span>
                            </div>
                        </a>

and replace it with:

<a href="#" class="mobile-toggle hide-for-large">
                            <div>
                                <span></span><span></span><span></span>
                            </div>
                        </a>

10. "Undefined" Error using Demo Content Import

If you are getting an "undefined" error on your Theme Options when you are trying to import demo content, this is due to your WordPress installation not having direct "write file" permissions.

There is only one short line of code needed to set the filesystem method for your WordPress site.

This line of code has to be added to wp-config.php file of your WordPress install. First search the wp-config.php file for “FS_METHOD” in case that it’s already defined. If that’s the case, then just change the value to “direct”. Otherwise add this line:

define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');

So the code in wp-config.php will look like this:

define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

11. Where can I change the logo?

You can change the logo from Appearance > Theme Options.

12. What To Do If Demo Content Import Fails

If the import stalls and fails to respond after a few minutes, or it fails with a simple error message like “Import failed,” You are suffering from PHP configuration limits that are set too low to complete the process. You should contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:

You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin found here. And you can also check your PHP error logs to see the exact error being returned.

13. I can't install theme - Stylesheet is missing

You need to first extract file you've downloaded from ThemeForest, theme is inside of this zip file along with documentation, license, psds and other files. You need to upload only theme folder to your WordPress.

14. Enabling WP_Debug In WordPress

WP_Debug is a constant that when enabled will display any PHP errors on the front-end of your site, this is the most useful tool when troubleshooting your site for errors. If disabled and your site has an error you may see a blank screen or content missing on the site but no error message, that makes it nearly impossible to figure out the problem. Personally I keep WP_Debug enabled on all my sites so if I install a new plugin or update a theme I’ll know right away if there are any errors and be able to contact the developer to fix them or fix them myself.

Below are the steps required to enable WP_Debug for your WordPress installation.

  1. Access your website’s root folder via FTP or SFTP
  2. Locate the wp-config.php file
  3. Open this file in a text editor (I prefer sublime text)
  4. Search for “WP_Debug” and if you find it set the value to true if currently set to false
  5. If you didn’t locate “WP_Debug” scroll down near the bottom of the file and add the following code right before the line that says “# That’s It. Pencils down”
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

15. How can I change the Favicon?

You can set it inside Appearance > Customize > Site Identity

16. What font did you use for The Voux logo?

The font name is "Narziss Regular"

17. The link you followed has expired.

This is a common server/hosting issue. You need to ask your hosting to increase your PHP max_upload_size variable, preferably above 25mbs.

Here is a sample code you can pass onto your hosting:

upload_max_filesize = 64M
post_max_size = 64M
max_execution_time = 300

18. Change Widget Title Background

Please add this custom css:

.widget > strong span {
    background: #ffe7f0;
}
